Dr. Dough Donuts eyes sites in Melbourne, Brisbane in 2022

The company added it has seen year-on-year growth.

Dr. Dough Donuts (DDD) has labelled 2022 as its “year of expansion”, announcing plans to be in Melbourne by February and Brisbane by September.

Whilst growth in Sydney has been its priority for 2021, the ability to travel interstate has encouraged the business to go “full steam ahead” to do deliveries across the easter seaboard.

The company added it has seen year-on-year growth and success by evolving the business into the gifting category in the six years that it has been operating.

“Our purpose is to share happiness by enabling easy and meaningful connections between senders and recipients. [T]o be able to do that in other areas of Australia excites us and excites the customers who have been asking us [to] bring DDD to their states over the last few years,” co-founder Kristy Bannister said in a media release.

“We have used the seemingly endless months in lockdown planning and busting to head into other states. Now that we have the opportunity to travel, we will be fearless and bold in our growth.”
