Fast Food store growth up by 38 in last 3 months to August: report

The report showed 82 stores were launched whilst 44 shops closed.

The expansion of fast food and quick service sector growth in the last three months to August 2022, resulted in a net change of 38, revealed a report from GapMaps, a location intelligence business.

Its report, which tracked 28 brands in over 6,755 locations, showed that 82 stores opened whilst 44 stores closed.

Amongst these brands, Domino’s Pizza (+15) and Patty Smiths (+5) were at the top for openings whilst Mad Mex (-6) and Subway (-6) recorded the most number of closures.

At a state level, Victoria led the  store openings with 24 whilst Queensland both registered the most closures with 12.
