Gloria Jean’s Coffees relocates U.S. headquarters to drive expansion
It currently has 52 outlets across 20 states.
Retail Food Group announced its Gloria Jean’s Coffees (GJC) franchise has opened its new U.S. headquarters in Chicago, part of a move to drive expansion in the market.
The ASX-listed company moved the coffee chain’s headquarters from Los Angeles to Chicago to “better support the strength of the brand in the U.S. Midwest,” it explained.
Gloria Jean’s currently has 52 outlets across 20 states, with four new openings planned by October.
The new office was also opened by the chain’s founder Gloria Jean Kvetko, with the launch coinciding with the rollout of Gloria Jean’s premium coffee blend, ‘Glorious’.
“Gloria Jean Kvetko envisioned a retail experience where the coffee and food offerings were of the highest quality and the service was personal and welcoming,” RFG executive chairman Peter George said in a statement. “We have adhered to that ethos and American consumers are voting with their feet.”
Domestically, George told QSR Media earlier this year that GJC would aim to have about 17 drive-thru locations by the end of their next financial year, aimed to offset impact in shopping centre locations.
