Chargrill Charlie's offers free chicken salt instead of fries on National Fries Day

The $15 seasoning jar takes centre stage for the one-day campaign.

Chargrill Charlie’s will celebrate National Fries Day on 10 July by giving away not fries but its cult-favourite chicken salt.

On Friday 10 July, customers who purchase a regular fries via the Chargrill Charlie’s app will receive a free Chicken Salt Jar. Only the first 100 customers at each Chargrill Charlie’s restaurant will be able to claim the seasoning, which retails at $15 a jar.

“National Fries Day is all about celebrating great fries, but what makes Chargrill Charlie’s fries truly special is the Chicken Salt. The seasoning Aussies crave,” Olivia Sutherland, head of marketing at Chargrill Charlie’s, said. “Anyone can give away free fries. We’re giving away the reason people love them.”

National Fries Day is a day of recognition for one of the world’s famous snacks, celebrated each year on the second Friday of July.
