McDonald’s unveils biggest beverage update in 30 years

10 new beverages will now be available across the country.

McDonald’s Australia has ended the trial of its beverage range and is now launching it Australia-wide.

Starting 15 July, 10 new drinks will be available across all McDonald’s locations.

The launch follows a global announcement by McDonald's that it is updating its McCafe sub-brand to reflect its new beverage offerings.

New research commissioned by McDonald’s that reveals that 56% of Australians choose beverages based on their mood, personality, or energy levels, whilst 54% say grabbing drinks is a perfect reward after a busy day.

The new drinks feature new iced and cold coffee brews such as Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with Oat Milk, Iced Golden Caramel Latte, Iced Velvet Mocha with Cold Foam, and Choc Coconut Frappé.

Strawberry Watermelon Refresher and Popping Mango Refresher will also join the menu.

Crafted sodas such as Berry Blast & Sprite and Popping Green Apple & Sprite will also be available.

Meanwhile, the brand is also partnering with Red Bull, with both the classic Red Bull drink and Red Bull Zero available on McCafe menus. McDonald’s will also launch two new Red Bull-infused drinks: the Red Bull Peach Boost Energiser and Red Bull Dragonberry.

Annabel Fribence, Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald's Australia, said this has been the biggest beverage launch since McCafe first opened in Australia.

“McCafé has been part of Australia’s café culture for more than three decades, and this launch marks an exciting next chapter in that journey. The new range received a fantastic response during the trial, and now it’s time for Aussies across the country to pick their favourite. Mine’s the Berry Blast & Sprite!” Fribence said.
