Guzman y Gomez announced the opening of its 39th Sydney store, located in Westmead.
The store is run by three local entrepreneurs, Sonal Ram, Milan Patel and Don Mizzi, who between them already head up three other GYG restaurants: Westfield Parramatta, Parramatta CBD and Castle Towers.
To celebrate the opening, the chain offered $5 burritos and bowls, free coffee, along with a live mariachi band.
Earlier this week, Magellan Financial Group agreed to sell its 11.6% stake in the Mexican fast food chain.
