Red Rooster launches spicy fried chicken
The move is part of the brand’s ongoing transformation plan.
Red Rooster’s fried chicken, introduced last year, is now getting a hot and spicy version.
Dubbed the Reds Hot Fried, the new product is coated in a glossy spicy sauce and is initially available to order via Menulog starting February 16.
The spicy addition will then be available on menus at all Red Rooster restaurants from February 23.
Red Rooster marketing director Ashley Hughes explains the launch as part of the brand’s ongoing transformation plan.
“Our customers have been asking for more heat for some time now and there’s a definite trend towards spice. This hot and spicy version of our Crunchy Fried Chicken is an extension of our core menu and the perfect way to deliver that real hit of flavour,” he explained.
“Menulog is just one of our valued amazing partners and we were really excited about the opportunity to connect with the community and our customers with their support,” he added. “They’re a great partner with huge coverage and were the perfect partner in this instance. But we plan on many more similar offers and activations with all our valued partners.”
