KFC unveils Pizza Double chicken burger
The original Double was launched a decade ago.
KFC announced the launch of its Pizza Double chicken burger, available for contact-free pickup from restaurants from 7 September to 4 October.
The latest iteration of the popular menu item sees two of their signature spicy Zinger fillets acting as the bun for two pepperoni slices, Italian-inspired pizza sauce and a slice of cheese.
Kristi Woolrych, chief marketing officer at KFC Australia, said: “After making a delicious first impression on Aussies 10 years ago, we’re excited to bring back the iconic Double with a mouth-watering pizza twist! The Pizza Double is the perfect treat for those who love the best of both worlds, so we know fans of the original will go wild up for this level up.”
The Pizza Double is also available for delivery exclusively via the KFC App. The chain is also encouraging customers to find “an extra special treat hidden” on the app.
