Crust Gourmet Pizza unveils 'Simply Better' pizza range
The brand launched its new ‘Simply Better’ range, profiling nutritious fresh ingredients, paddock to plate lamb and beef and healthier bases.
Aimed at health conscious, gourmet food lovers, the ‘Simply Better’ range features three innovative new pizzas: Biltong Spiced Lamb, Harissa Hummus Chicken and Wagyu Shōga, as well as new Spelt and Wholemeal bases.
General Manager Renee North said the latest range strives to deliver customers high quality, healthier alternatives without compromising on taste.
“We are thrilled to be reimagining pizza and making new delicious, wholesome pizzas for customers,” she said.
“Spelt is a great base alternative and is one of the oldest cultivated crops in human history, providing a substantial amount of nutritional benefits. It helps regulate the body’s metabolism and contains significant levels of iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc.”
North said Crust’s new pizzas also incorporate sophisticated new toppings, and to further the brand’s commitment to fresh food stores, will now be cooking their lamb and ground beef in-house.
“Lamb and ground beef meats will now be house cooked by our expert pizza makers; the meat is marinated, seasoned and roasted in the oven until tender and full of flavour to further enhance freshness and overall quality. We have continued to diversify and evolve the menu by using ingredients and dressings inspired by ‘better for you’ food trends, such as harissa hummus, ginger, chickpeas, broccolini, almond slivers and preserved lemon yogurt,” she said.
As part of the campaign, Crust highlighted its locally-sourced fresh produce, while selected meats are sourced from Australian farms through a stringent ‘paddock to plate’ traceability program.
“Our new ‘paddock to plate’ message is about traceability; our lamb is sourced from Australian pastures located in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia and our Wagyu beef is sourced from the finest Wagyu genetics bred in Chinchilla Queensland,” North said.
