La Porchetta enters into agreement with Fair Work Australia
Sara Pantaleo, CEO La Porchetta, responds to media stories that a La Porchetta franchisee has been fined for underpaying staff.
She noted that the chain has a good working relationship with the office of the Fair Work Ombudsman and that the chain has entered in an Agreement with Fair Work Australia to assist compliance of La Porchetta restaurants into the future.
"La Porchetta Support Office expect all of our restaurants to pay their staff correctly and be compliant with the Fair Work Act. While we know it is difficult for all small businesses to keep up with the changes, we make every effort to support our restaurants to be fully compliant and are confident that our Franchisees are committed to meeting or exceeding their obligations under the Fair Work Act," she said.
"We value the staff who work for our franchisees, as they provide the excellent service La Porchetta customers expect. We wish the staff of Berwick and Pakenham well and we are sorry if they had a negative experience working for these restaurants."
