Extreme Pita shuts up shop in Oz

The Canadian chain pulls out.

Extreme Pita has exited their Master Franchise Agreement in Australia, according to Mark Cunningham, Global Vice President of Business Development at MTY Group.

He added that all restaurants are closed, as the company looks into franchising the market and country again.

Extreme Pita is under the MTY Food Group Inc., one of the largest quick service restaurant group in Canada. It opened its first Australian store in Kings Cross last October, serving pocket style pita bread filled with grilled lean meats, grilled vegetables, fresh salads and sauces.
