Huxtaburger to launch “Bar and Dine” concept as brand explores new formats
The Geelong site will open its doors to the public on December 29.
Huxtaburger announced its upcoming launch of a new “Bar and Dine” concept within Geelong’s central business district, part of the Melbourne-headquartered chain’s move to explore new store models.
Described as an “experiential and entertainment” venue, the restaurant draws inspiration from dive bars, featuring a full cocktail bar, pool and pinball machines, a sound system and will host live bands.
The Geelong site will open its doors to the public on December 29, which also marks ten years since they opened their first burger joint in Collingwood.
The Bar & Dine concept is one of two new formats available for prospective franchisees, the company said. The other format they are promoting is a “Backyard” pop-up food container, surrounded by a beer-garden style seating area.
“Watching this volatile market shift and shift again, we’ve refined our franchise model and developed a framework that is flexible for a range of talent and budgets, whilst staying consistent in approach and menu. These new formats allow us to sell key territories to solid operators, and adhere to what a location and demographic both need and want from us,” Huxtaburger general manager Jason Geriesi said in a media release.
