Baskin-Robbins has hosted two events to date, one in Brisbane and another in Sydney.

QSR Media: What's new at Baskin-Robbins?

At the store level, we recently launched our new Polar Pizzas, the delicious ice cream treat you eat like a pizza! The innovative dessert features a frozen chocolate chip cookie base, spread with 5 scoops (350 grams) of the guest’s choice of 31 premium Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavours and decorated with toppings and fudge, before being sliced and served like a traditional pizza.

Additionally, we have just started hosting Informational Sessions for potential new Franchise Partners, providing guests looking for a career change or a business opportunity detailed insight into the benefits of working with an internationally recognised brand.

QSR Media: What has been the reaction towards your brand's initiative to launch the Franchise Partner Information?

To date we have hosted two events, one in Brisbane and one in Sydney. We’ve received a positive response from attendees, and we will look to host additional events over the next few months.

QSR Media: What's the story behind this strategy?

It’s very simple; Baskin-Robbins has an exciting business model that offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to get involved in the community through the shared love of ice cream. We receive a large volume of enquiries regarding owning a Baskin-Robbins Franchise and we wanted to ensure that we provided potential Franchise Partners with information regarding the process and a bit of what being a part of our brand involves.

QSR Media: What potentials do you see in Sydney in terms of franchising?

We currently have 11 stores throughout New South Wales, with only three in and around the Sydney area, so there are plenty of opportunities for Franchise Partners to join the Baskin-Robbins family.

QSR Media: What did you learn in your first Information evening?

The Information Sessions confirmed for us what we already knew – people are the most important ingredient to making a business succeed a success. The decision to purchase a business is one of the biggest decisions people make, so we are thrilled that so many people are considering Baskin-Robbins as a franchise opportunity.
