Oracle Food and Beverage launched
The company's newest global business unit will be solely dedicated to food service customers.
Oracle has announced that it has created Oracle Food and Beverage, aiming to provide greater focus and additional resources for businesses in the food and beverage sector.
Prior to the move, customers from food and beverage and hotel industries were both handled by the Oracle Hospitality business unit, which was created in 2014 after Oracle acquired MICROS. Now, Oracle Hospitality will continue to serve the hotel, casino, and cruise markets.
“Oracle Food and Beverage is about our commitment to this industry and to our customers. With additional focus and resources, we can accelerate the pace of development across our products and services, from Simphony POS to hardware to our back-office suite for reporting and management," Chris Adams, VP of Strategy at Oracle Food and Beverage, said.
"With such a strong product portfolio in place, we can continue to deliver the services that our customers and partners need. The future is very bright and we are very excited.”
