Wendy's is giving out free scoops of ice cream for April Fool's
The ice cream chain is celebrating April Fool’s Day with free scoop of ice cream for all.
The promotion is part of the launch of the brand's new Wendy’s Loyalty Program, which gives customers a free 500ml tub of Wendy’s ice cream for collecting five stamps. Customers can collect a stamp by spending more than $5 on every store visit until June 30. From today, anyone who spends $5 at Wendy’s store can collect a stamp on their loyalty card.
There are more than 18 flavours to choose from – favourites like Cookies & Cream, Bubblegum and Rum & Raisin, or tackle the Wicked Chocolate, Hunky Chunky Strawberry or Mint Madness.
“It’s that simple – every time you buy a Wendy’s hotdog, shake, ice-cream, a coffee or some hot chips, it all adds up – and before you know it, you are walking out the door with a free tub of our famous ice-cream,” said Wendy’s CEO Karin Hattingh.
“We want to bring the fun back and create a rewarding experience for customers, so the loyalty program is something our customers can benefit from. I will be excited to see our ice-cream served up on the tables at home – not just in cones from our stores, which means everyone can enjoy a quality treat,” Hattingh said.
“We have some exciting plans this year with new products rolled out and fresh branding on the way, so it is a great time to come in and see what is happening at Wendy’s.”
To redeem a free ice-cream scoop as part of the loyalty card launch (from Friday, April 1 until Friday April 8, 2016) customers need to log into the Wendy’s Facebook page and claim the scoop offer.
