Guzman y Gomez plans to make at least three burritos per second on Cinco de Mayo
The Mexican food chain will offer $5 burritos and bowls during the all-day event.
At least three burritos per second - that is how fast Guzman y Gomez wants to produce during its upcoming annual celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
The Mexican-inspired chain’s restaurants that are open during that day will offer a special rate of $5 burritos and bowls.
Overall, they expect to produce 250,000 burritos and bowls, cook more than 15 tonnes of chicken, prepare more than 11 tonnes of guacamole, and cook more than four tonnes of ground beef during the whole day event.
“It’s also the first time we’ll have our 24-hour restaurants going all night so it’s going to be epic! The team at GYG have been planning for the day since February so you won’t be disappointed,” Guzman y Gomez founder and global CEO Steven Marks said in an announcement.
Guzman y Gomez currently has over 120 sites across the country.
