Collins Foods Limited (ASX: CKF) (Collins Foods or Company) is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the acquisition of eight KFC restaurants in Bavaria, Germany, as previously announced.
The acquisition, from JJ Restaurant GmbH & Co. KG, strengthens the Company’s position in Germany and delivers a meaningful increase in scale in one of the country’s most populous and economically significant regions.
The Bavaria portfolio, centred around Munich, provides a strong platform for continued expansion and supports the Company’s strategy to establish Germany as its second core growth pillar. The acquisition increases Collins Foods’ German portfolio by approximately 50%, creating an enhanced presence and scale across three key German states, which together represent more than 50% of the country’s population and approximately 54% of GDP.
In addition, the acquisition unlocks further development opportunities in Bavaria — an attractive and affluent market that includes Munich, one of Germany’s largest and wealthiest cities. Germany remains an underpenetrated and attractive market for the KFC brand, offering significant long-term growth potential.
The acquired restaurants operate at higher margins than Collins Foods’ existing German restaurants, further strengthening the Company’s overall performance profile in the region.
The contribution from the acquisition will be consolidated in Collins Foods’ financial results from 1 June 2026.
Collins Foods Managing Director & CEO Xavier Simonet said: “This acquisition marks another important milestone in our German growth strategy. The additional scale created enhances our operational presence and positions us well to accelerate growth further in this key market.”
