Macca’s creates new burger range from McNuggets dipping sauce
The new burger is the headliner for the fast-food chain’s winter menu.
McDonald’s has recently revealed the contents of its winter menu, with the Spicy Sticky BBQ Angus as its headliner for its burger range, inspired by a previous limited-time offer.
A McDonald’s spokesperson told QSR Media that the burger was a spin on a fan-favourite by combining a 100% Aussie Angus beef patty and Spicy Sticky BBQ Sauce which was initially released as a limited-time only sauce for the McNuggets.
“As soon as the Spicy Sticky BBQ Sauce first appeared on our menu as a limited edition McNuggets dipping sauce, it quickly became a fan favourite. So much so that we had to bring it back, but this time in a burger as a new taste experience for our customers,” the McDonald’s spokesperson said.
According to Macca’s the winter menu is based on iconic flavour combinations that offer the perfect winter indulgences.
The delicious Spicy Sticky BBQ Angus features a variety of homegrown Aussie ingredients including 100% Aussie Angus beef, lettuce and tomato. This is alongside rasher bacon, Aussie Jack cheese, Spicy Sticky BBQ sauce and McChicken sauce - served on a gourmet bun.
“It provides the best combination of tastes, textures and flavours for any winter moment, making it perfect for our limited-time menu. We look forward to hearing what customers think,” Macca’s said.
The Spicy Sticky BBQ Angus and the entire winter menu will be available in Macca’s restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery from Wednesday 5 July, for a limited time only.
