Baskin-Robbins creates a fruity line of treats
Celebrates 70 years of ice cream history.
Baskin-Robbins has introduced a lineup of delicious frozen treats including Fruit Sundaes and Real Fruit Smoothies dubbed as "A Taste of Summer".
The sundaes start with a scoop of smooth vanilla ice cream resting on a layer of real fruit pulp and are then topped with crushed almonds, covered in whipped cream, topped with chunks of real fruit pieces, another large scoop of fruity ice-cream, and finally drizzled with fruity syrup and topped with a cherry.
The smoothies, on the other hand, featurs a combination of real fruit and classic vanilla ice-cream and then blended into three new refreshing flavour combinations – Mixed Berry, Mango, and Banana Honey and Oat flavour.
Available from the 24th November through the end of January 2015, and to coincide with the launch, Baskin-Robbins is running a competition where families can go into the running to win one of 10 Summer Family holidays – with a total prize pool worth over $50,000.
“We’re proud of our rich flavour heritage and are excited to share our decades of ice cream flavour innovation with our guests,” said David Jordan, General Manager of Baskin-Robbins.
“This celebration focuses on our fun-in-the-sun history since we hit Australian shores in 1989. We think guests are going to love trying some of Baskin-Robbins’ most classic ice cream flavours re-imagined in whole new ways, like our Fruit Sundaes and Fruit Smoothies.”
In addition to the sundaes and smoothies, through to the end of January 2015, participating Baskin-Robbins stores in Australia will showcase classic ice cream flavours from the brand’s repertoire of flavour innovation over the years, including Very Berry Strawberry, Mango Tango, Baseball Nut®, and Love Potion #31®, presented in new decadent Sundaes and Smoothie fruit and ice-cream innovations.
