Wendy's Australia issued a statement after a social media post went viral about the brand 'taking a beat'.
"That’s right, we needed to take a beat for a few hours to restock our fresh ingredients due to the overwhelmingly positive response we received over these first weeks of launch. The good news is that we’re back open and are ready to serve our iconic and delicious menu offerings to locals and visitors on the Gold Coast. We also have some surprises in store, so stay tuned for more news to come soon!," a Flynn representative for Wendy’s told QSR Media.
The statement came after the brand posted on social media about 'taking a beat'. The social media post has now been deleted.
Flynn Group is the owner of the master franchise for Wendy's in Australia. The group previously stated that it plans to build open 200 restaurants by 2034.
