MOS Burger shutters restaurants in Australia
Its last day of trading will be on 31 August.
Japanese fast-food chain MOS Burger has announced that it will close all three of its restaurants in Australia.
“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close all MOS Burger locations in Australia. Our last day of trading will be August 31st, 2024,” MOS Burger said through its Instagram account.
MOS Burger first opened in Australia in Sunnybank Plaza, Queensland. Its two other restaurants are also located in Queensland at Southport and Upper Mount Gravatt.
The reason for the closure was not divulged.
As of 31 March 2024, MOS Burgers has 1,313 restaurants in Japan and 452 overseas. It’s parent MOS Food Services, Inc. operates a total of 1,788 restaurants.
