Taco Bell in the US has begun testing its new crispy chicken tortilla tenders, “poised to compete with popular chicken chains like Chick-fil-A and Popeyes,” according to Business Insider. The new menu offering can be bought in a taco for $2 or in a $5 or $7 box. Read more here

Burger King in the US is facing a class-action suit after customers complained about the plant-based Impossible Whopper being grilled alongside the brand’s meat products. According to CNN, the case filed in Miami accused the fast food giant of false advertising and “benefiting monetarily from offering a vegan option that is not in fact vegan.” Read more here

Owners of Qdoba are considering the sale of the Mexican burrito chain less than two years after its acquisition. Restaurant Business reports that Apollo Global Management decided to explore the sale after CEC Entertainment, owner of Chuck E. Cheese, has failed to go public. Read more here

Chipotle in the US has announced the launch of its new Alexa Reordering skill, allowing customers to use the new feature to reorder their personal store favourites. To celebrate the launch, the Mexican-inspired food chain is giving away Amazon Echo Dots to all its customers named Alexa who are currently subscribing in Chipotle Rewards.

Focus Brands-owned Moe’s in the US will open its first two kiosk-only stores in Pennsylvania and Virginia in Q1 2020. As reported by Fast Casual, the all-digital stores will launch with four self-order kiosks and will feature Moe's new brand design. Read more here

Doordash continues to lead the food delivery battle in the US capturing 35% of the market last month. As reported by CNBC, the food delivery platform posted a sales increase of 114% since October 2018. Read more here
