Domino's UK unveils world's first customer-controlled robot pizza maker

The brand introduced The Domimaker, a world first in customer-controlled pizza creation.

"Domino’s has always been at the forefront of pizza perfection. Whether it’s taste, toppings or technology, we’ve always pushed the envelope when it comes to our craft. Which has led to the latest addition to the team," Domino's said.

"Fresh from our Domibotics Division, the Domimaker is a state-of-the-art robotic pizza maker that you control. Built with materials almost used in NASA’s Mars Rover, the robotic limbs meticulously build your pizza from the base up – your way!"

Domino's said that customers can control the Domimaker simply by ordering online through the UK site. Customers will then be connected directly to The Domimaker LIVE!, where they can begin to craft the pizza using a smartphone or tablet, from dough slapping, sauce spreading, topping placing, cheese sprinkling, and slice cutting.

The Domimaker features two 360-degree swivel-tech rotating arms, twin-jet sauce-dispensers, titanium hydraulic claw, diamond pizza slicer and a retractable spoodle.

According to Domino's, like all Domino’s workplace technology, the Domimaker has gone through stringent testing to comply with EU plant machinery regulations. The Domimaker is the first of its kind to feature OUCHH (Operating Utility Cannot Hurt Humans), programming that ensures "110% safety in the kitchen 100% of the time".
