
WA Economics and Standing Industry Committee release its findings into the enquiry of the Franchise Bill 2010
Overall the committee is not convinced that the Franchising Bill 2010 is an appropriate course of action. Concerns ranged from the cost of implementation, to the low likelihood of the bill acting as a deterrent, to legislation in the franchising sector being more appropriate for Commonwealth governments given the nature of cross-state chains.
