Grill’d turns burger sales into $90k boost for childhood cancer charity
This is in partnership with Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri.
Grill'd is donating $90,000 to My Room Children’s Cancer Charity through its Local Matters programme.
The donation will go toward helping families affected by childhood cancer, funding medical care, and supporting research.
The initiative is linked to Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri, who has an ongoing partnership with Grill’d.
Piastri first became involved with My Room in 2025 after meeting a young patient, Kruz, at the Melbourne Grand Prix, where he signed a replica helmet.
He later auctioned a race-used helmet, raising $107,000 for the charity and becoming an official ambassador.
This June, My Room is featured in all 178 Grill’d restaurants in Australia.
Customers who buy a burger can drop a token into a My Room jar.
At the end of the month, Grill’d will donate the $90,000, linked to the Local Matters programme, to support the charity’s work.
