Domino’s taps former Pizza Hut exec as new ANZ CEO
He has over 30 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd has appointed Merrill Pereyra as the CEO of Domino’s Australia and New Zealand, effective 23 January.
Pereyra has more than 30 years’ experience in the quick service restaurant industry, including regional leadership roles with McDonald’s and CEO of Domino’s Pizza Indonesia. As the Executive Director and Chief Executive, Restaurants, for QSR Brands, the Yum! Brands franchisee for KFC and Pizza Hut, he delivered five years of positive SSS for Pizza Hut Malaysia.
Since 2019, Pereyra has been Managing Director of Pizza Hut, India, for Yum! Brands, where he led a turnaround of sales performance and halved store paybacks.
Meanwhile, DPE has also announced the appointment of George Saoud as Group Chief Financial Officer on 1 July 2025. Saoud will now take on the additional role of Group Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.
As Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Saoud will take on leadership responsibility for Technology and Procurement & Supply Chain, in addition to his leadership of the company’s financial strategy and capital management.
The group said Saoud’s expanded role will help to drive sustainable growth across Domino’s global operations, and reflects the Company’s focus on disciplined execution, operational performance and cost management across the Group.
The group said its search for a new group CEO is still underway.
