San Churro opens first ‘Clásico’ store format
The new format will feature a back-to-basic menu.
San Churro has opened a new store format called ‘Clásico’ at Karingal Hub, Victoria.
The new format features a smaller ‘local cafe’ design and uses a back-to-basics menu range. The new format will also target locations such as strips, venues, and smaller precincts. It also reduces the build price of traditional stores and has a more streamlined operational model.
‘We wanted to recreate the authentic Spanish experience for our customers with a local flavour. Our design incorporates local community touches like murals and incorporates the natural features of each site, whilst delivering the warmth and fun of San Churro’s famous Spanish sweet treat experience. Clásico is a nod to our heritage, channelling our first store in Fitzroy with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a simplified menu which celebrates our delicious churros, hot chocolate, Fairtrade coffee and gelato,” CEO Kerri Wane said.
San Churro opened its first store in 2006 in Fitzroy, Melbourne, quickly gaining popularity for its authentic approach to traditional Spanish churros and innovative desserts and treats.
