Costa Astrinakis emerges as the major equity holder in Souvlakihut

Costa Astrinakis is the new force at the troubled Souvlakihut chain.

QSR Media understands that he is the major equity partner, not Daryl McCormack. The name of the new corporation "Astera" is a consortium of private investors, headed by Astrinakis, which was pulled together quickly when the chain was put into administration last month. Astrinakis has a long association with the group, having previously been their Development Agent in Tasmania. QSR sought comment and further clarification from both both Astrinakis and Laurie Fitzgerald from BDO, the administrators, but at the time of going to press they were unavailable for comment.
