The Coffee Club enters Egyptian cafe market

The Coffee Club opened its first store in Tivoli Dome on Egypt’s North Coast.

The Coffee Club said it has sold a major franchise licence to Egyptian food and drink retail business Royal Gourmet with 15 stores planned to open in Egypt over the next five years. The first cafe is located in tourist destination Tivoli Dome and will generate over 25 different jobs for locals.

Ross Caldwell, General Manager International of The Coffee Club, said, “Coffee shops are an institution and Egyptian coffee drinkers have a discerning taste when it comes to the quality of coffee they drink. We want to create a welcoming place for locals and a familiar place for any tourists that are looking for excellent coffee and great service.”

Royal Gourmet is the first organisation to bring The Coffee Club franchise to the Middle East. The Coffee Club currently has over 280 stores, including in China, New Caledonia, and Thailand as part of its international expansion.
