The Groove Train arrives in Darwin
The brand announced its first Northern Territory location, opening in Casuarina Square’s new dining and entertainment precinct, The Quarter.
Franchisees, David Robinson and Sohil Aghariya, will be launching The Groove Train in Darwin’s Casuarina Square.
“This is the restaurant precinct the Northern Suburbs desperately needed. The family and kids area was really exciting to us as we both have young families,” said Robinson.
“We’ve been working with Group Executive Chef, Steve Discoll, to ensure we serve our customers a diverse, locally sourced and wonderful menu which I’m sure everyone will love.”
The Groove Train announced that it will also launch its first Western Australian location some time this year.
Robinson said, “I wanted to open a café in Darwin with the best coffee I could source, from the world’s best coffee region, Melbourne. Not only did I find the best roaster, Rocky Veneziano (founder of The Groove Train), but I also came across his brand, The Groove Train, a Melbourne institution offering amazing espresso as well as an all-day menu that utilises the finest possible ingredients. The cooking method is so different to the standard franchise and is far more exciting to me, not to mention that we now get to work alongside chefs with some serious credentials.”
The Casuarina menu features the franchise’s signature wood fired pizzas along with a varied selection of European and Asian inspired recipes. The menu's key difference to the Eastern States will be Casuarina’s trademark Barramundi dish.
The Groove Train now has 23 locations throughout Australia with Western Australia to receive their first location later this year.
