According to IBIS World’s report on “Fast Food Services in Australia” published last May 2013, New South Wales has the most number of fast food retailers in the country due to the fact that over one-third of the country’s population reside in this area.
IBIS World found out that the number of fast food retailers is almost parallel to the population of a given state.
Larger and more populated states, such as New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, boasts a greater number of fast food stores and also serves as a “launching pad” for upcoming players.
While less populated states such as the Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory have the smallest number of establishments present in the market.
