Menulog signs agreement with Uber Eats to redirect customers

This comes after Menulog announced its exit from Australia.

Menulog customers will soon find themselves being redirected towards Uber Eats after the two entered into a commercial agreement.

Through the agreement, Uber Eats will connect with Menulog customers, merchants and delivery people to provide fast-tracked onboarding and tailored incentives to support a smooth transition.

From 26 November, Menulog customers will be redirected to the Uber Eats app to continue accessing their favourite local restaurants. New users will receive 50% off their first two orders with restaurants or grocers (up to $30 off), and for customers in regional Australia, $0 delivery fees on orders over $20 through to 31 December. Other fees apply.

For Menulog’s restaurant partners, Uber Eats will offer 0% Uber Eats Fee on delivery orders for 180 days and waive its activation fee. Menulog couriers joining the Uber Eats platform will receive a $500 sign-up incentive, if they meet the incentive conditions, to help ensure continuity of earnings.

The news comes after Menulog announced its exit from Australia, 20 years after it first launched.

Menulog will officially stop taking orders on 26 November.
