Sumo Salad to donate to the Cancer Council Act
A charitable day for the franchisees.
Sumo Salad has announced that it will be donating $1 to the Cancer Council ACT for every fast deli sold in Canberra yesterday, 24th Septmeber.
According to the chain, "[it] is the first time that a whole region of SumoSalad franchisees has joined forces to support a charity close to all their hearts." A spokesperson from Sumo Salad noted that all the participating franchisees have been touched by cancer in some way, which is why they chose the organization.
Cancer Council ACT is a non-government not-for-profit community organisation that aims to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region.
Luke Baylis, CEO of SumoSalad said, “We are very proud to be involved with a worthwhile cause such as Cancer Council ACT. At SumoSalad, we’re all about promoting good health; that’s the core of who we are. So it was an easy decision to support Cancer Council ACT, who are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of this devastating disease.”
The spokesperson shared that based on success of their charitable event yesterday, Sumo Salad will be looking at future opportunities to partner with charities which all franchisees have a connection with..
