Star-struck: KFC partners with celebrity chef Darren Simpson

Chef Simpson’s Signature Burger range will be available for only 8 weeks from August 17, so be quick.

KFC Australia launches its new Signature Burger Range and the introduction marks the first time a celebrity chef has partnered with a QSR brand to help cook up a new line.

Renowned chef Darren Simpson has partnered with KFC on the Signature Burger range, a new choice of 100% Free Range chicken burgers with premium, fresh ingredients, which is responding to the call from customers to have access to premium food on-the-go.

With the Australian market continuing to embrace “foodie” trends as part of mainstream conversations, Simpson felt it was the right time to offer his culinary expertise to this new, high-quality offering from KFC.

“When KFC approached me to collaborate with them on a new range, I was excited about the opportunity to create a premium burger that would be accessible to many Australians. Combining KFC’s heritage of serving up delicious chicken and my passion for Free Range chicken and powerful flavour combinations has created a true winner – the Signature Burger,” said Simpson.

The new Signature Burger Range features juicy, 100% Free Range chicken fillets seasoned in KFC’s Original Recipe and layered with a selection of the premium ingredients and special sauces.

The range features two tasty varieties:
· Sweet BBQ & Caramelised Onion tops 100% Free Range breast chicken fillets with caramelised onions, Australian cheddar cheese, crisp cos and iceberg lettuce, smoked bacon, creamy mayo and sweet BBQ sauce on a warm sourdough bun.

· Smoked Bacon & Parmesan has the 100% Free Range breast chicken fillets covered in shaved parmesan cheese, crisp cos and iceberg lettuce, smoked bacon and creamy Caesar sauce on a warm sourdough bun.

Launch Timings:
The Signature Range will be available beginning 17 August at all KFC stores across Australia, and will be on store menus for eight weeks.
