Benefit from online ordering with Micros

No existing MICROS POS platform needed.

Built on the innovative MICROS Commerce Platform (MCP), online ordering extends the power of MICROS POS as it uses web based platforms to connect directly with the customer.

"Both web and mobile ordering allow foodservice businesses to extend beyond the counter and engage with customers in new and exciting ways, while delivering improved customer service in the form of advanced ordering and queue busting," explained Christopher Adams, Managing Director, MICROS Australia.

Adding, QSRs can access information about their customers’ buying patterns and preferences and leverage this information for targeted marketing and promotional opportunities that will drive visits and increase spend.

Micros' online ordering solution include Web Ordering, Mobile Ordering, Call Centre Ordering; and Online Engine.

Some features QSRs can expect are: linking of ordering portal directly to QSR websites; Google maps store locator; mobile websites and smartphone application ordering options; customer lookup by name, phone, caller ID integration, account; and access to a full suite of reporting anytime; among others.

According to Adams, the MICROS Commerce Platform seamlessly integrates with MICROS POS and can deliver a complete solution that solves business problems and maximises efficiency, whether you have a standalone store or a large chain with hundreds of locations.

"MICROS provides both front of house functionality and back-office systems that manage inventory, labour, business intelligence and customer loyalty. MICROS extends its offering by providing web-based and mobile applications, such as online ordering."

While the firm tries to focus on implementing eCommerce solutions on existing MICROS POS platforms, it is not required for the online ordering solution.

"We are flexible enough to integrate with different POS providers so brands who don’t want to change their entire POS system can also use MICROS Online Ordering," he noted.
