Gelatissimo’s Saudi Master Franchisee bags award in Forbes
The company revealed plans to open 10 new stores.
Zamel Alshahrani, Gelatissimo’s master franchisee for Saudi Arabia, was chosen by Forbes Middle East as one of the most inspiring business leaders in the region, particularly in the industrial category.
Alshahrani stands as Saudi Daz Company’s CEO and Partner, Gelatissimo’s master franchise for Saudi Arabia.
After Alshahrani discovered the gelato brand during a business trip in 2011, Saudi Daz Company launched the first Gelatissimo store in Saudi Arabia in December 2013.
The first gelateria in the region boasted a kiosk style and is situated at Fanateer Beach, in Jubail City.
The brand revealed that ten gelaterias are targeted to open throughout Saudi Arabia in the near future, with its second store set to be unveiled early this year.
Gelatissimo Saudi Arabia also shared that take-away Coppe Gelato Sundaes, gelato cakes and soft drinks will be available in stores.
To raise brand awareness in the region, Gelatissimo Saudi Arabia is planning to hold campaigns in colleges and universities and also introduce two new flavours—KASHTA and Vimtelato, which are currently being developed especially for the region.
“Kuwait has already proved that Middle Eastern people love our gelato, and with such strong partners in Saudi Arabia, I am sure that Gelatissimo will be an instant success here also,” added Filipe Barbosa, Acting Gelatissimo CEO.
