Mad Mex introduces 'hottest chilli in the world' to its menu

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill is adding 'the hottest chilli in the world' to make its new EXXXtra Picante Salsa.

The salsa will include the Carolina Reaper chilli as a main ingredient, which rates up to 2.2 million units on the Scoville scale, a measure of its spicy heat level.

The new EXXXtra Picante can be ordered with any main meal item for free, or added as an extra portion for $1.

The chilli will be introduced in two stages: Amateur level will be available from 28 September - 11 October, then from 12 October, while the EXXXtra Picante Experts Only Level hits stores and comes with a health warning.
