Gelatissimo gets gold at awards ceremony
The dessert chain bagged several awards at the annual NSW Dairy Industry Association of Australia Awards.
The gelato brand claim the Gold for their Burnt Caramel & Pecan flavour and Silver for five of their flavours, Malted Vanilla & Gingerbread, Salted Chocolate Truffle, Mocha Brownie, Sticky Fig & Honeycomb and Salted Macadamia & Dulce de Leche.
Filipe Barbosa, CEO of Gelatissimo said: “It’s such a privilege to be recognised by the DIAA and to be presented with numerous awards. Making delicious flavour combinations is what we do best, and to be acknowledged by such an established and well respected association is an honour.”
Malted Vanilla & Gingerbread, which was part of Gelatissimo’s Christmas promotion, is made up of innocent malted vanilla gelato, folded with delicious gingerbread pieces, made by the local bakery.
The Salted Chocolate Truffle flavour was also released for Gelatissimo’s Christmas campaign, and offered a salty dark chocolate taste sensation, infused in liqueur.
Mocha Brownie, last November’s limited edition Flavour of the Month, was a combination of espresso and chocolate with chewy brownie pieces.
Sticky Fig & Honeycomb is a version of the classic hokey pokey flavour, with golden honeycomb gelato rippled with sticky caramelised fig jam from Italy, and topped with Aussie made, crunchy honeycomb pieces.
April’s limited edition Flavour of the Month, Salted Macadamia & Dulce de Leche is a mix of salty and sweet. The creamy milk has been reduced to a sweet caramel and is scattered with crunchy roasted macadamias.
