Oporto opens first store in Sri Lanka

Another store is set to open in the country by 2019.

Oporto has announced that they launched their debut store in Colombo City Centre, Sri Lanka last October 16 in partnership with their franchisor Ataraxia Capital Partners, an investment management firm.

To celebrate the opening, they also held a Spicy Burger Challenge. The site serves food items such as the Bondi Burger, Chicken & Cheese Burger, Chicken Embrulho and Grilled Chicken Tenders.

“We are honored to have been able to bring our brand to a country which will undoubtedly appreciate the culinary experience we offer,” Oporto’s CEO Craig Tozer said during its grand opening, as quoted by Colombo Page.

The fast food restaurant currently has 161 outlets and has expressed plans to open more before the year ends.
