McDonald's Corporation grows global systemwide sales 11% beating earnings estimates
The group’s adjusted earnings per share were $2.83, beating industry forecasts.
McDonald's Corporation posted a global comparable sales growth of 3.8% and systemwide sales of over US$34b ($47.02b), an increase of 11% in the the period ended 31 March 2026.
Comparable sales growth in the US increased 3.9%, with international Operated markets increasing 3.9%. Meanwhile, comparable sales in International Developmental Licensed Markets increased 3.4%.
Global consolidated revenues increased 9%, whilst consolidated operating income increased 12%. Results reflected pre-tax charges of US$47m ($64.99m) and US$66m ($91.27m) for the current year and prior year, respectively, primarily related to restructuring charges associated with
On the loyalty front, McDonald's reported that systemwide sales to loyalty members across its 70 loyalty markets exceeded US$9b ($12.45b) for the quarter and surpassed US$38b ($52.55b) for the trailing twelve-month period.
