Baskin-Robbins donates $31,000 to McGrath Foundation
Money was raised during Breast Cancer Awareness Month via a national Facebook campaign.
Throughout October, Baskin-Robbins challenged its fans to help spread the word and raise money for the McGrath Foundation through the Baskin-Robbins Australia Facebook page. Each new ‘Like’ resulted in a 31 cent donation to the McGrath Foundation.
McGrath Foundation collection boxes have also been placed in Baskin-Robbins restaurants throughout Australia, and guests will be able to donate until the end of the year.
The goal of donating at least $31,000 in 31 cent increments is based on Baskin-Robbins’ famous 31 flavours offering.
Ian Martin, General Manager, Baskin-Robbins Australia, said, “We’re very pleased to have donated $31,000 to the McGrath Foundation and proud to contribute to such a worthy organisation.”
Meanwhile Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan, said the McGrath Foundation has so far placed 78 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia who have helped support more than 16,000 families through their breast cancer experience.
