Macca’s drops legal action against protesters
The two parties have come to an agreement.
According to a report from Inside Retail, McDonald’s dropped legal action against the residents of Tecoma who have been protesting against the building of the brand’s store since 2011.
The report indicated that an agreement was made between the two sides and is subject to court approval.
The protest group was allegedly causing disruptions on the building site, which pushed Macca’s to seek damages for loss of profit, security maintenance and penalties it received from builders.
