Baskin-Robbins appoints new supply chain manager
Shay-lee Case has over 20 years’ experience, most recently working as supply chain manager for Domino’s Pizza Enterprises.
“Managing the supply chain for an ice-cream company comes with challenges and the tyranny of distance in Australia provides both obstacles and opportunities for any supply chain, whether it is frozen or ambient,” Case said.
“Baskin-Robbins brings a little bit of happiness in each ice-cream treat, so it is vital we provide a holistic supply chain offering to stores to ensure they can continue to deliver this guest experience in store.”
David Jordan, General Manager of Baskin-Robbins Australia, said, “Product supply and distribution is the backbone for any franchise business, given the vast geographic location of Australia, this has to be managed and coordinated with precision.
"With 2014 being our most successful store growth year to date, we must continue to excel in all facets of the business, with a major focus on adding value and increasing profitability for our Franchise Partners.”
“With the aggressive store growth planned for the next two years in Baskin-Robbins, and the focus on supply chain initiatives and strategy, Jordan added: “We have great confidence that Shay-lee’s experience will give Baskin-Robbins the edge to both support and increase our network of stores,” he said.
