Zeus Street Greek taps into WA market with Perth opening
The brand is opening their first Western Australian venture in Mount Lawley.
The store is Zeus Street Greek’s 13th outlet in Australia and will serve a high quality, customisable offering.
The offering combines modern Greek street food with the best of Australian produce in a relaxed contemporary environment. The classics include the Uncle Tzimmy family of pitas, which feature succulent meat from the Souvla cooked traditionally on long skewers over hot charcoal, all wrapped in fluffy pita bread with tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika and Zeus’ famous chips. The high quality, hero proteins of chicken, pork and lamb are sourced from premium growers. Zeus chicken and lamb are both natural and healthy and free from antibiotics and hormones and Zeus pork is 100% Australian and sow stall free.
Zeus Mount Lawley will employ 35 local staff and customers will be able to choose to dine-in or take away, ordering online, via Zeus Street Greek app or instore, and in time have the ability to dine out at home with Zeus home delivery.
The location will be home to a new generation store design, embodying Zeus’s continuous evolution and old meets new philosophy. The bespoke fit out integrates art deco inspired geometry and bold shapes with a number of 3D finishes which will add warmth and vibrancy to the space, countering the exposed brick work and raw stone finishes.
Co-founder of Zeus, Costa Anastasiadis, said, “True to our Hellenic heritage, we are always looking to extend our hospitality and grow our family, so heading West felt like the obvious next step.”
“The vibrant and cosmopolitan hospitality scene in Perth is continuing to grow and diversify at a rapid rate, welcoming new dining experiences into the fold. With a huge emphasis on quality and an adventurous audience, we feel our brand values align with those of Perth’s discerning culinary scene.”
To celebrate the opening of Zeus’ first store opening in Perth, Zeus Mount Lawley will be hosting an I LOVE FREE SOUVLA powered by Take Give charity launch event on Saturday 13 May. This event is in partnership with Cord, a grass-roots organisation raising funds for spinal cord injury. Cord is headed up by Jos Franciscus, a Mount Lawley local, lover of the arts, occupational therapist and someone who lives with a spinal cord injury.
Of the partnership, Cord founder Franciscus said, ‘It’s an honour to have Cord chosen by Zeus as the charity organisation to launch their store with, here in my neighbourhood of Mount Lawley. We love the social responsibility belief they embody as a business and of course their great food. We looking forward to welcoming them to the community whilst raising some much needed funds for the spinal injuries unit at Fiona Stanley Hospitality’.
Zeus will serve up free pitas between 12-3pm and will donate $2 to Cord for every pita given away. 100% of the funds set to be raised will be going directly to the Fiona Stanley Hospital’s spinal injuries rehabilitation unit.
“These events are a way to thank the community for welcoming us, and an opportunity for us to give back to our community, said Costa Anastasiadis.
