Zeus Street Greek arrives in Canberra
The brand is opening their first ACT store on Thursday 16th February.
The all new location, situated at Shop 7, 21 Genge Street, will serve Zeus’ newly launched menu that combines modern Greek street food with the best of Australian produce in a relaxed contemporary environment.
The menu includes the Uncle Tzimmy pita range, which features meat from the Souvla cooked traditionally on long skewers over hot charcoal, all wrapped in fluffy pita bread with tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika and Zeus’ chips. Zeus chicken and lamb are both natural and healthy and free from antibiotics and hormones and Zeus pork is 100% Australian and sow stall free.
New additions include two new beef pitas using premium Wagyu Beef, the Piccalilli Pork pita which puts a Greek twist on the classic mustard and pork pairing, and the Otto pita, combining chicken schnitzel with a zingy preserved lemon mayo, Aegean slaw and caramelised onions.
Zeus will employ 35 local staff and customers will be able to choose to dine-in or take away, and in time will have the ability to order online or via the Zeus Street Greek app.
The location will feature a quality fit out spanning a light filled corner block, offering a welcoming, relaxed and contemporary industrial inspired setting. The store design pays tribute to the authenticity of the Greek kitchen within a ‘street’ customer experience.

“There has been such a positive response surrounding the Canberra opening, and the new location will truly embody Zeus’ Philosophy of Food mantra that is carried throughout the brand Australia wide. It’s a very exciting step for us and we’re very much looking forward to becoming an active part of the local community.”
To commemorate the opening, Zeus Canberra City will be giving back to the local community by hosting an ‘I LOVE FREE SOUVLA’ event, powered by Take Give, on Saturday 25 February. Customers will be invited to join from 12 to 3pm where the team will serve free Zeus Lamb and Papou Niko Chicken pitas until sold out. For each pita $2 will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
