Pizza Capers opens its 100th store
The goal is to open 200 stores in the next two years.
Pizza Capers is on track for their target of hitting 30 new stores in 2011. The store in Mackay in Central Queensland is the Company’s 99th in Australia along with their current lone branch in Singapore.
Co-founder Scott Geiszler said that the store is a milestone for the Company. It is proving that gourmet pizza is never out of the market.
“When we started out, we were told that we wouldn’t succeed selling quality, gourmet product in a market dominated by cheap, low-quality pizzas. Our success proves that customers are savvy and purchasing a quality product with fresh ingredients is a high priority for them,” Geiszler said.
Pizza Capers looks into extending its reach to Tasmania, Western Australia, and NSW, according to Geiszler, and 2011 will be all about consolidating the Pizza Capers brand.
“We also want to build on our growth in the South East Asian market, with plans to open stores in Penang, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta in early 2012. Potentially, in the next two to three years, we would like to expand into Europe and the Americas,” Geiszler added.
