Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart launches in Australia
The international brand's first Australian store will be opening in Melbourne.
Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart, which has a network of stores across Shanghai, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, and Malaysia, are bringing the food trend to Australia.
“It’s a very exciting thing, to introduce Australia to the cheese tart. Our Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tarts have become a massive hit abroad. Our stores are selling up to 20,000 tarts every day, our bakers are working tirelessly just to keep up! We’re feeling confident that the Australian market will love these too. They’re going to be the next big thing in food,” ST Group Managing Director Tatt Ghee Saw said.
The brand was inspired by the distinct taste of Hokkaido dairy, and uses a traditional recipe from Japan’s dairy capital. After a long process of taste testing using Australian ingredients, the Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart said that it has recreated the Hokkaido cheese flavour perfectly to serve in the new stores.
Tatt Ghee Saw said; ‘The ST Group love to champion the very best Asian delights and new tastes into the Australian market. We live in a multicultural society that is continually evolving, and of course our palatte and cuisine preferences are evolving alongside this. At ST Group we are passionate about sharing the foods that we love in South East Asia with the Australian market.”
