Grill’d opens first drive-thru in Melbourne
The restaurant opening created 60 jobs.
Healthy fast food chain Grill’d opened its first drive-thru restaurant in Melbourne.
The drive-thru concept, first launched last year, is part of Grill’d’s strategy in meeting the demand for convenience.
The new drive-thru restaurant is located in Chadstone, Melbourne. Grill’d currently has 172 restaurants in Australia.
The new Chadstone drive-through restaurant is part of a larger 5-year growth strategy for the business, where we aim to open 30 new restaurants per year, with an ultimate goal to have 300 sites nationally by 2029. Of the next 50 restaurants we open, half will have drive-thru facilities,” Simon Crowe, Grill’d Founder and Managing Director said.
To celebrate the opening, Grill’d will be hosting a launch party on 3 August with a DJ and the restaurant giving away 754 burgers. The number 754 is a nod to the street address of Grill’d’s first restaurant on Glenferrie road in Hawthorn 20 years ago.
The new restaurant created 60 jobs.
