Domino's promotes Pat McMichael to Chief Development and Franchising Officer
He will oversee all new store development projects in Australia and New Zealand while recruiting franchisees to fill new and existing store opportunities.
The new Chief Development and Franchising Officer has held a variety of roles across the business since joining Domino's in 1990: Store Manager, Area Manager, Franchise Consultant, National Property Manager, Franchisee, Market Manager, New Concept Manager and International Business Consultant (Domino's Pizza International). Most recently he was Franchise Development Manager Australia and New Zealand, according to a Domino's announcement.
Mr McMichael said the Company was currently experiencing a surge in prospective franchisee enquiries and applications following the Company’s strong results over the past 12 months. “We have seen a huge increase in new franchisee enquiries through our website and also our dedicated information sessions which are held across Australia regularly. The most encouraging part is the majority of these enquiries turn into serious applications,” he explained.
He added they have welcomed more than 22 new franchisees to the Domino’s business over the past six months and expect to see a lot more before Christmas.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd and its franchisees have 522 stores across Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 14,500 part-time and full-time staff and making more than 50 million pizzas each year.
