The Cheesecake Shop to open 200th store in Australia
The bakery is targeting to open 15 to 20 stores by 2024.
The Cheesecake Shop will open its 200th store in Australia located at Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales on 15 July.
According to the bakery brand, the milestone opening reflects the exponential growth of the famous cake shop franchise as it expands its footprint across the country, with a particular focus on regional areas.
The Cheesecake Shop will be celebrating this milestone by sharing and holding an event which will see 200 cheesecakes and 650 cheesecake cups to be given away to families and kids. There will also be balloons, face painting, and other fun family activities.
“It’s a great milestone achievement for the brand and one that we are looking forward to sharing with the locals of Mittagong. Through our franchisee network, we bring celebrations to life by producing delicious cakes baked fresh in-store with excellent service from convenient, suburban locations. We aim to help families, friends, communities, and workplaces celebrate life’s events. Whilst so much has changed at The Cheesecake Shop since 1991, that guiding purpose has remained,” Scott Bush, CEO of The Cheesecake Shop said.
The company opened 12 new stores in the 22/23 Financial Year with a goal to open 15 to 20 more across Australia and New Zealand by June 2024.
The Cheesecake Shop, which opened its doors as a family-owned cake shop in Sydney in 1991, now has 230 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
